A Jedi I am....

Last weekend we went with Lisa, Dave and the kids to Disneyland. I had told Carter about "Jedi Training" and he was dying to go. We got there just in time for the last show and luckily he got picked!! I felt like one of those annoying parents who does whatever they can to get their kid picked!!! Well,it worked!! It was really cool. They gave him a robe and a light saver. Then they taught them how to fight. Then all of a sudden some Storm Troopers came out with Darth Mall. Then the music got really intense, there was fog and Darth Vader appeared!! He was HUGE!! I thought for a second Carter might get too scared and run off....but he was BRAVE!! Each kid got a turn at fighting either Darth Vader or Darth Mall. Luckily Carter got to fight Darth Vader. He looked so small compared to him!! He did great and almost took off Vader's head!!! I took the pictures while Dave took video. After, they all got a certificate saying that they had completed the Jedi training and they were now officially Jedi's!!! Carter really thinks he is a Jedi now! He decided that now he should be a Jedi for Halloween since he really is one! He couldn't stop talking about it and pulling his new moves the rest of the night!!

After we had some dinner and then headed out to some rides. We got in line for the Buzz LightYear ride, but it broke down while we were in line. Jaden was really bummed. All he kept saying all day was "I'm going to go on the Buzz ride and shoot"!! We went on the rocket ride instead.

We then headed to Toon Town. The kids played in all the houses while Dave and Joe watched Brady.

Dave got this idea that he would take Carter on the roller coaster, but not really tell him what it was. As we were in line, Carter started to notice what the ride was and DID NOT want to go on. Dave told him that he would be fine...well not exactly. The poor little guy screamed bloody murder the ENTIRE time. It was so sad. I think he will never get on another roller coaster again!! Jaden LOVED it and kept asking if he could go again. He would say that it was really fun, but it hurt his tummy!!!!!

We then met up with my cousin, Chris, Jenny and Kate and hung out with them the rest of the night.

Brady was SOOOO good the whole night. He did not make one peep!! We all forgot he was even with us. He just layed in his stoller the whole night!! He is the perfect Disney baby!!!

Sara Palin on SNL!!!

Sara Palin was on SNL last night!! It was pretty funny seeing Tina Fey and Sara Palin next to each other in the same outfit!!! Tina looks so much like her!! Well, they had Sara part of the Weekend Update and there was a rap written for her to sing. She decided not to sing it because it would be "bad for the campaign", so Amy Poehler did it instead. It was HILARIOUS!!!

TURN UP YOUR SPEAKERS!!!!!

(There is a movie preview after the rap that I couldn't get rid of)

Here is when Sara and Tina meet....

The "Heyman" Get Together...

Last weekend we went to Arizona for our cousin, Curtis' wedding. He married the most beautiful girl named Candace. Lisa, Heather, Audrey, Carter, Brady and myself all drove together and my mom and dad went their own car. The drive wasn't too bad. We got to Chandler around 6 in time for the dinner at the Heyman home. It was a lot of fun seeing everyone. It was especially fun for the kids. Audrey was really excited to play with Lilly and Lizzy! We also got to see Shauna, Jaden and Bradli!! Bradli has gotten so big and she has to cutest, biggest cheeks!!!!

I stayed with my Aunt Barb and Eric. Shauna and the kids stayed with Steven and Lori. Lisa and the kids stayed with Jonathon, Carolina, Lilly and Lizzy. Saturday morning we all met for breakfast at this place called Wildflower. It reminded me of a mix between Panera and Corner Bakery...but BETTER!! You should have seen the pastries!!! The kids had fun running around and playing with Jonathon.

The CRAZY Gang!!

We then headed to Jonathon's to watch the USC/ASU game. I was the lone USC fan. Jonathon and Eric are HUGE ASU fans. They even have season tickets. Well, the game turned out GREAT for me and AWFUL for them. ASU didn't even score a point!! I brought them some pins to wear during the game, but they didn't think they were too funny!! So, the kids wore them instead. After the game we played some Wii Olympic games until everyone fell asleep and woke up just in time for the reception!

We then headed to the reception. It was at the most beautiful and ENORMOUS home I have ever seen. When you walked up the driveway, it felt like you were going to a villa in France. It was amazing!! The backyard was huge!!! There was an organ in the front room!! There was a pool outside that was amazing and this neat walkway that kind of looked like a tunnel of vines! It was really cold and we were not prepared for that kind of weather!!! Curtis had the cutest idea of the car they left in that night. It was a little buggy. Curtis calls Candace "C-Bug", so it was perfect!! They looked so happy and so cute together!!!

Jen, Alli, Jenny and me

I ended up sleeping over with Lisa because we had to leave early Sunday morning. The drive seemed a lot longer going home, but the kids were great. Shauna and the kids drove home with my parents and are staying with them until November 2nd!!

The final sleep over

Brady was such a good traveler!!

Dave and Joe ended up not going because they weren't going to be able to leave until really late Friday night. I hooked them up with some really sweet seats for the USC/ASU game. It was Dave's first experience going to a USC game, so Joe gave him the full experience. They frist headed to the practice field to kick some field goals. Then they went to the bookstore and got some new gear. Then they went to check out the Heisman trophies and listened to the band play and then followed the band to the collesium. It was a great game for them! Afterwards, Joe introduced Dave to King Taco!! Dave LOVED it!!! I am really scared of that place....it's not too comforting walking into a taco place where there is a security guard with a gun!!???? Then they stayed up all night and played Rock Band. It was a PERFECT weekend for the boys!!!!
