FINALLY...WE HAVE A WEDDING DATE!!!!

Bronchitis & Laryngitis...

So I just got back from the dr and he told me that I have both bronchitis and laryngitis!!??? I have been sick since Tuesday afternoon. Friday my voice started to get a bit scratchy and by the end of the day it was gone. It is still gone. It is a weird feeling, I have never lost my voice before. So I have to stay home from work for a few days because I am contagious and I can't talk. I had to go to work on Saturday, which I was REALLY not happy about. I pretty much did this the whole time...


Hopefully my voice will be back soon...

I stayed home sick one day last week. "KOBE" our favorite dog came by and they took a picture of him guarding my desk!! Isn't he sooo cute!! Too bad he can't take care of me while I'm sick!!! I do have the kitties to take care of me!!!

Star Wars Sleep Over...

Last night Joe and I had the kids over for a "Star Wars Sleep Over"!!!! I had promised the kids that they could sleep over one night while Jaden was here. They are all OBSESSED with Star Wars, so I thought it would be fun to have a Star Wars party. They all came dressed up...

Audrey was Princess Leia



Carter was Obi-Wan Kenobi



Jaden was Luke Skywalker (Jaden is wearing Joe's Taekwondo shirt from when he was a kid..yes, he kept it..and the belt too!!)



Joe was Darth Vader



We had pizza for dinner and they ate on Darth Vader plates and drank from Darth Vader/Yoda cups. After dinner we played "pin the controls on Vader". It was really fun watching the kids play blind folded!! Audrey was the closest!!!



















The highlight of the night was when Joe put on his Darth Vader costume and came downstairs with his red light saber to fight the kids!! We even had music!! You've got to watch this video!!!












Afterwards we watched Stars Wars, Episode IV-A New Hope and ate popcorn. It was really funny because whenever the kids characters came on, especially during the fighting scenes, they had to reenact them!!!





























Before we went to bed, the kids opened their party bags!! They were filled with Star Wars stuff-stickers, yo-yo, coloring book, Darth Vader mask, candy, maze game and light up bracelets!!!















We then went to bed. It took a lot of convincing, but they finally took off their costumes and put on their pj's!! Don't worry, as soon as Jaden woke up, he put his Jedi costume back on!!!! The kids got up we had some breakfast and then played Lego Star Wars on X-Box and watched some more Star Wars movies!!!

YES...YES...YES!!!!

Today started out as a sad day for me. Today was my Grandpa's birthday and he would have been 80. It is still really hard for me to realize that he is no longer with us. My Grandpa LOVED Disneyland. Last year, we all spent Christmas Eve at Disneyland for his birthday. So, I decided that the only place I wanted to go for Christmas Eve was Disneyland. I know that it hasn't been easy on my Grandma. My sister's and I took her to lunch today. Afterwards, Joe and I headed out to Disneyland.

We contemplated whether or not we would go because of the rain, but decided that we would tough it out. It didn't even rain!! We got there and had dinner. When we got finished eating, Joe asked if I wanted to go and take a picture of us in front of the castle. We got there and a lady took a picture of us. Then we just stood there for a long time. I kind of figured out what Joe was up to and my stomach was in knots!!! I asked him if he wanted to go on a ride, but he said no. So we stood there for a while longer. I could tell his mind was racing!!! We started to walk to the side of the castle. I started to freak out!! So, I asked him again if he wanted to go on a ride. He said, "No, I need to ask you something!!" I freaked and said "No you don't!!" He said, "No, I need to ask you something REALLY IMPORTANT!!" My stomach was in knots and all I could say was "I think I am going to throw-up!!??" I know....how romantic!! He took me over to the side of the castle. They were clearing everyone out because the parade was going to start, but we snuck over any ways.

We were all by ourselves and the next thing I know, Joe is down on his knee. He asked me to marry him and I said YES!!!! It felt like a dream!! I knew what he was saying, but it wasn't registering in my mind. I think I kind of had a blank stare on my face, so he asked me again and then said, "I have the ring you wanted" and then put it on my finger!!!













It was perfect!! I have always dreamed of being proposed to in front of the castle!! Joe was soo cute!! He then told me that he had asked my dad that Monday. He said that he was more nervous trying to figure out how to ask me at Disneyland without a million people watching us then asking my dad!!! My dad had told my family that night while we were at Disneyland. They were trying to plan on everyone being at Disneyland, but it didn't work out.

We went to my parent's house afterwards and when we got there, the kids had made a "CONGRATULATIONS" sign for us and hung it up from the ceiling!! It was soo cute!! We then celebrated with our Martineli's!!









I think that I am dreaming!! I have been waiting for this day to come for a long time!! I asked Joe if he was planning on doing it today. He said that when my Grandpa passed away, he decided that he would propose to me on his birthday, Christmas Eve. He knew that it would be a sad day for me and he wanted something to make me happy and remember that day as a happy day and he said that my Grandpa would be watching!!! He said that no matter where we were tonight, he would have proposed! Either at Disneyland or at home. It had to be Christmas Eve!!!

I am the happiest and luckiest girl!!! I LOVE YOU JOE!!! See....Disneyland IS the happiest place on earth!!!!
