SWEETHEART...

Today is my Grandma and Grandpa Reed's 60th wedding anniversary. The day was not how we had all planned. My Grandpa passed away Friday morning, just 3 days before their anniversary. My grandma and grandpa have been together since they were 15, so that would actually be 64 years!!! Our family is still trying to comprehend that he is no longer with us. I just always thought he would always be around. I miss him sooooooooooooooooooooooo much. I can't imagine what my grandma must be going through. He was so good to her. One of the cutest things he did for her that I found out this past week while I stayed with her was that he made a book with all of her shoes. He took a picture of each pair of shoes (60 pairs, this is where I got my shoe obsession from!!) and numbered them. He then categorized them by the type of shoe (high heel, flats, tennis shoes, sandals, etc) and then put them on sheets of paper. So when she needs a shoe, she just goes to her book and finds her shoe and then just finds that numbered box!! He loved her soo much. I will miss him saying "Hi Sweetheart" every time he saw us!!! I miss you grandpa more than you will know. I LOVE YOU!!! XOXOXO

Watch Out New York...I'm Coming Back!!!

I just found out today that I am going to NEW YORK next week for work!!! It is going to be a pretty quick trip..fly out Wednesday, in a meeting Thursday and Friday, and then come home. I am debating on whether to stay through the weekend because I know it is going to be SOOO HOT AND HUMID!!! I do get to stay at the Grand Hyatt, so I am really excited and I get to charge everything to Citi....so that will be the BEST part!!!

My nephew finally has a name!! I love it!!! I will post more pictures when I get some. My mom left today to go to Calgary and she will be there for a MONTH!!??? I am soo jealous...wish I was going!!! Happy Father's Day Dave!!!! What a perfect gift :)

4lbs, 15oz-19.09in-Baby Boy with No Name!!

Dave called me this morning to tell me that they had a little BOY at 3:15 am (MST-2:15 Ca time!!). Lisa ended up having an emergency C-section because the little guy had somehow tied a knot in the umbilical cord!!! He was 4 lbs, 15 oz and 48.5 cm long (those Canadians...that converts to 19.09 inches). He said that the little guy is doing well and seems to be very active. Dave said that as he lays under the heat lamp, that he squirms all other the place like he is trying to get away!!! I told Dave that he sounds like trouble since he already tied a knot in the umbilical cord!!! Dave said that he has a ton of hair and is just a skinny little guy, but looks healthy. Unfortunately, they hadn't thought of any boy names yet, just girls, so they are trying to come up with a name. Dave said that Lisa is doing great and feels better at this stage than her last pregancy. Once I find out his name, I will let everyone know!! I LOVE being an aunt!!! Final count-2 neices and 3 nephews!!!

Baby Saunders Is ON THE WAY!!????

I just got a call from my sister Lisa that her water broke and she is at the hospital waiting to have her baby. She isn't due until July 6th!! She has never had her water break before, so she had to call our sister Shauna who just went through the same thing to ask her if that was what was happening. I don't know what it is with my sisters and having their babies early...and right around Mother's and Father's Day!!! Lisa is freaking out because they are SOOOO not ready. They thought they still had at least a little less then a month to get prepared. She said she would call me when the baby comes!!! I can't wait to find out if it will be a boy or a girl!!!????? STAY TUNED........Lisa hopes that the baby doesn't come until after midnight so that it isn't born on Friday the 13th!!!!

Lakers Friday

Today at work we had "Lakers Friday". We are having a credit card contest, so we thought it would be fun to dress up in Laker gear and give out Lakers gifts to anyone who completes an app. (Any excuse to not have to wear "work clothes"!!!) It was a great hit and the customers LOVED it!!! We ended up with 19 apps at the end of the day. We gave out Laker balls, flags and balloons and then they also got entered into a raffle for a "Lakers gift basket". It was a Lakers trash can filled with all kinds of Lakers stuff (shirt, mugs, balls, flags, key chains..worth $80!!) One of my customers who is a HUGE Lakers fan won it...so I was really happy!!! We decoreated the office with a bunch of purple, yellow and Lakers balloons. It was actually a fun day at work!! Too bad they lost last night... :(

P.S. Sara...It wasn't the same without you!! We used your "Laker Pig" in honor of you!! Hope you are surving in DC and all those BOSTON fans!! YUCK!!!!! REPRESENT!!
