A Day In The City...

Today we spent the whole day shopping around the city. We left the house around 10 in the morning. It was raining when we started, but it cleared up pretty quickly. It was a nice day. It was pretty brisk out and it felt great. We started off at H&M. I just pretty much looked around. I didn't want to shop before the cruise since I will coming back afterwards. We then went to Zara and then headed to Rockefeller Center. We had to stop by Dean and De Luca to see if Felicity and Ben were there!!! Then we headed to Anthropology. I found this really cute sweater and told Shauna that I would buy it for her for her birthday. It was originally $80 and on sale for $30. We noticed a little black mark on it and figured she could just wash it and get it out. When we got up to the line to ask if we could get a discount, the girl said that she could give us 25% off. She rang up the sweater and she said that actually it was on sale for $9.95.......SHUT UP (The exact words out of Shauna's mouth!!!) Then after 25% off, the total came to $7.96...YES THAT IS CORRECT...A SWEATER FROM ANTHROPOLOGY FOR $7.96!!!! AND IT IS SOOOOOOOO CUTE!!! So of course Shauna said that she would just buy it and I could get her something else!!!!!

We then went to Times Square where we witnessed the "Naked Cowboy"....WHATEVER!! We stopped in a few other shops and then headed down to canal street to look for some "designer bags"!!!! It was pretty funny having all the guys come up to you and whispher "we have coach, channel, louis vuton"....but we have to take you to a warehouse??? YA RIGHT!! We also went to the Macy's store. They were having this huge flower display. It was gorgeous!! They had flowers everywhere and all the window displays were dressed in flowers!




I headed back to get my stuff packed up to meet my cousins at the Sheraton in Times Square. Then I met up with them at the Apple store and then we went to dinner.



I am SOOOOOOOOO exhausted and my feet hurt!! We have to have our bags ready tomorrow morning by 8 am for them to pick-up to take to the boat. We will hang out and go shopping until our bus picks us up at 1:30 to get on board the boat. I cannot wait to just relax!!!! All my cousins headed out to go to the Empire State building tonight. I decided to stay back and get some sleep before the big day tomorrow!!

This might be my last post until I get back from my cruise on the 5th. I probably won't have access to the internet.....so I will catch everyone up as soon as I return to the "City"!!!

"SECURITY PLEASE"!!!

So I got busted this morning at the airport because apparently the toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, sun screen, leg shaving cream, face soap, face lotion, etc. were not regulation size (3 oz is the acceptable limit and my toothpaste was 4 oz). If felt soo stupid!!! I had no clue that you couldn't take these items with you in your carry on luggage? I told the lady that at least I checked my tweezers, in which she replied, "oh, you can bring those on board and even little scissors".???? I thought to myself I probably could do more damage with scissors than my 4 oz of toothpaste!!! So I ended up having to check a third bag, which they didn't charge me for...YEAH!!!

I arrived in New York tonight at 8 and hopped in a taxi to go see Shauna. Shauna is here until Sunday with a bunch of her college friends. They are all turning 30 this year, so they decided to get together and are staying with their friend, Mersha, at her AMAZING home!! I love her place! I am staying here until I meet up with my "Cruising cousin's" tomorrow at the Sheraton in Times Square. Her place is 3 stories!! She has the nicest husband named Jared and the CUTEST little girls named Cyra and Lucia. They totally look like they could be my kids!! Cyra has the biggest brown eyes! She looks just like "Dora the explorer" and when her mom asked her who I looked like she said, "Dora"!!! So, I am pretty happy hanging out with a 2 year-old, couldn't ask for anything more! I am in heaven with her....she is SOOOOOOO cute!!



Tomorrow we are planning to go shopping and then I will head out to meet the cousins. The weather is pretty cool, but it feel nice. It rained a bit today but not too bad. I am pretty tired from traveling today and I am ready for bed even though it is only 9:30 back in CA!!!

Guess I Better Start Packing???!!!

It's after 9 pm and I haven't even started to pack for my trip yet. I think I am putting it off because I have NO CLUE what I am going to pack. I guess I better get started. I am SOOO excited that my trip has finally arrived!!! I am sure I won't get much sleep tonight because I am soo excited!! I will keep you updated when I can. I don't think I will have access to the Internet while on the ship (at least not for that $$$!!). So, a soon as I am back in NY, I will post my pictures and tell you all about my Bermuda adventure. Wish me luck on the boat, I am still pretty nervous, but I am sure I will get over it as soon as I get aboard. Bon Voyage!!!

HOLY CRAP!!! DID YOU JUST FEEL THAT EARTHQUAKE??? That was LOUD and pretty strong!!

It's 10:00 pm and I still haven't started packing...OOPS!!!! It's going to be a LONG night!!!

Going on Vacation = The Neccessity to SHOP!!!

I spent most of the day shopping for things "I NEED" for my trip. I started off at Old Navy and picked up a few tank tops, bathing suit and cover-up. Then I went to Tilly's and got the cutest Roxy flip-flops!!! They are brown with a brown bow with pink poke-a-dots..TOO CUTE!! I also got a couple of cute tops. Then I headed to Target to pick-up the "odds and ends". I got suckered in the $1 section where there was all kinds of travel size items. I saw a cute dress that I ended up getting. There are two formal dinner nights on the cruise, so I figured I could wear it one night.



















I bought my first set of luggage a couple of weeks ago. It is SOOO CUTE!! Black with white poke-a-dots!!! Who knows how long it will last, but at least I will be able to spot it with no problem!! I am getting pretty excited to go, but not looking forward to packing. I have been looking at the weather every day. New York is going to be in the 50's and Bermuda in the 70's. I have to figure out how I am going to fit everything. I am one to OVER PACK especially in the shoe department!!! A girl can never have too many shoes and she always needs to be prepared for anything!



I leave for New York Thursday morning and I can't wait!!! Only 3 more days of work and then I don't go back until April 14th!!!

Happy Birthday "H-Train"!!!

Today is my sister, Heather's birthday! I can't believe that she is turning 26!!! She spent the day at the beach...what better place to be on your birthday and in MARCH!!! I can remember when she was born and sitting on my parent's bed in Texas and my dad coming home to tell us we had another sister. She used to have the nickname of "read-a" because all she every did was read and walk around with a book in her hand and a HUGE bow clip in her hair!! Well, at least she doesn't wear the bows anymore, but still enjoys to read. Hope you had a great day today. Wish we could of gone to lunch, but I know the beach is way better!! Happy Birthday H-Train...Whooo, Whooo!!!!

(If you haven't noticed, the birthday months have begun! They seem to come all at once. March and April are busy birthday months in our family.)

HAPPY 7TH BIRTHDAY AUDREY!!!

I can't believe my little "otter pop" turns 7 today!!! I can remember when she was born and how little she was with all that hair!! I really wish that I could see her today...but Canada is too far away to hop in the car and take a quick trip. I will get to see her on ichat a little later today. Happy Birthday Dad!!!!

Today is my dad's birthday. We celebrated last night because he will be in San Francisco on his birthday until Friday. I don't think he will have too bad of a birthday since he is staying at the Ritz Carlton for the entire week!!! I found a bunch of pictures that I had to scan. I have to say he was the cutest kid and a little "hottie" in his college days!!! My mom is going to kill me for putting some of these pictures up....but it's worth it!!! Happy Birthday Dad!!!
